| - One account only. No more, no less.
- Your account name should be less than 13 characters. This is for administrative and organizational reasons. You can choose to make it different than your character name, though.
- This forum is rated PG-13. Means no adult or mature material allowed. If you feel that you must post something of that sort, put a warning on the thread title.
- Keep the golden rule. Act towards the other members as you would like them to act towards you. No flaming, abuse, or harassing allowed!
- No advertising. Anywhere. We have a seperate board for affiliating, though.
- Be active. Post something at least once every two days. If you're inactive but haven't made your character for two weeks, your account will be deleted. If you're inactive but have an approved character for a month, your IP adress will be banned.
- Keep posting etiquette. Don't double-post (posting right after oneself), bump (posting in a dead thread), or spam. Oh, and don't bother registering if you can't hold an intellectual conversation without resorting to interjections and pointless questions. Keeping posting etiquette makes the forum much easier for others.
- Respect the Staff's decisions. Follow them, and if you have a problem send a polite PM to them.
- Avatars should be 100 pixels by 100 pixels.
- Forum signatures should be kept short and clean. There is a 500 character limit, but don't make it excessively large. No links to other RP forums allowed in your signature! The maximum size for signature pics are 600 pixels by 200 pixels, as shown below :
- One starting character. Additional characters will be allowed only when the Staff approves of you having them. This is so we are sure that you're up for the task.
- No god-modding or autoing. Mary Sues/Gary Stus are not welcome! So aren't people who seemingly cannot respect the free will of other characters. Changing or affecting another character's thoughts, actions, or speech in any way that is not agreed on by the owner of said character counts as god-modding. (ex. "Gary took a punch at Bob, breaking his nose and sending him flying. As he flew by, Bob thought, 'All hail the almighty Gary!'" would be god-modding, but "Gary swung his fist at Bob's direction" would be fine.)
- Keep to the rules. Use the systems shown here, not anywhere else.
- Be original. My God...no Canon references. At all. None!
- Play according to your profile. The Staff approved it for a reason.
- Refrain on OoC comments. Barracking one's post with OoC will be punished, but if it's either at the top or the bottom of your reply, and otherwise doesn't bother the readers too much, it'll be fine. If you have a lot of things to say, say it in your discussion thread.
- Open a discussion for every thread. The reason why we have a seperate board for them.
- Check your own posts. We won't force you to clean up your own grammar and vocab, but you should run your post through a word processor. Check for length, too. A few rambling posts or one-liners will be tolerated (given that you can make up for it later), but if it gets out of hand, you'll be punished.
- Join no more than 3 threads. And join no more than 1 thread related to the board-wide plot.
- Always RP in 3rd-person. We are surprisingly tolerate of a lot of things, but never, ever do anything in 1st- or 2nd-person.
On this forum, we employ a three-strikes-you're-out system for most rulebreakers. Some cases, depending on the severity of the rulebreaking, may recieve punishments that the Staff deem necessary. Alternatively, some rules have special punishments assigned to them, such as the rule on activity. But in nine out of ten cases, the system the Staff will follow is :
First Time : A PM or e-mail regarding the rulebreaking, and suspension of character, ChatBox, PM, or board priveledges for a week. (What part of the board is suspended, however, depends on where the rulebreaking happened; ex. if the user swore on the ChatBox, he would be banned from it for a week.)
Second Time : An e-mail regarding the rulebreaking, and temporary ban for two weeks.
Third Time : An e-mail regarding the rulebreaking, and permanent IP ban. I, as Head of Staff, reserve the right to overturn/modify/edit/add/subtract to the Code of Conduct.
In order to make sure that you have read the rules, the character application requires a password. The password is :青春に、その泪が必要だ! ("Seishun ni, sono namida ga hitsuyou da!" or "Those tears are needed in youth!" are okay too.) |
